Wayne Pace and today's Know your Exchangite Floyd Holm
We had quit the ball at this mornings meeting. Today's speaker was Wayne Pace, professor, author, researcher, and lawn bowler. Currently the only place to lawn bowl in St George is at Sun River which restricts access to residents of Sun River only. Wayne has been working with the City of St George to get a Lawn Bowling facility in St George that is available to the general public. We were educated on the history of Lawn Bowling and given a live demonstration. Many were able to give the ball a spin themselves to see how easy and fun this sport is.
