Today's meeting was a presentation from Steve Bingham, Recreation Manager with the City of St George. He presented information about the upcoming NJCAA Division I Fast Pitch National Championship Tournament. It will be held at The Canyons on May 19-22, 2010. The nations 16 best junior college teams will come and compete, bringing over 500 people into the area, spending nearly $500,000 in St. George and Washington County.
Last years winners were Yavapai College. Our very own Club President, Tim Floyd, was their gracious host. Other Hosts included Wayne and Ralph. Hosts are needed again this year and there are other opportunities to help out (ticket sales, parking, etc.). A special ticket price and fund-raising opportunity is available to service clubs. Matt is the owner of Staheli Enterprises which includes Staheli Laundry and Staheli Distributing
and is a graduate of Utah State University.Next week's meeting is Derrick Larson and the Boy Scouts of America 100th Anniversary.
